Support our emergency Ebola response and other crises around the world

작성자 Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)

Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is responding to an Ebola outbreak in Ituri province, northeastern Democratic Republic of Congo, where health authorities have reported a rapid rise in suspected cases and deaths across multiple health zones.

Ebola is a severe viral disease transmitted through close contact with bodily fluids. Without timely care and strong prevention measures, outbreaks can escalate quickly—especially in areas with fragile health systems.

The outbreak is caused by the Bundibugyo strain of Ebola, for which there is no approved vaccine or treatment.

MSF teams are working alongside national health authorities to assess needs and scale up an emergency response. This includes isolating and caring for suspected patients, strengthening infection prevention and control, deploying specialized medical and logistical staff, and supplying essential equipment needed to safely manage Ebola cases.
MSF has decades of experience responding to Ebola outbreaks in the DRC and across Africa.

MSF remains committed to providing lifesaving care for all our patients in over 75 countries around the world. MSF USA takes no government funding and relies on unrestricted funds from private donors like you. This means that when an emergency strikes, we don't have to write grants or face red tape and restrictions before we respond—we can act fast and start saving lives immediately.
