Support survivors of Venezuela earthquakes and other patients globally

작성자 Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)

On June 24, 2026, a 7.2-magnitude earthquake struck Venezuela, followed by a second quake of 7.5 magnitude less than a minute later. According to local authorities, there are already at least 235 confirmed dead, with 4,000 injured, over 200 people still trapped, 157 missing, and 2,927 affected families (as of June 26, 2026). Numbers are expected to grow in the coming days.

Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) teams quickly mobilized to donate emergency trauma kits (covering approximately 200 patients) to José María Vargas Hospital in La Guaira, one of the most affected cities. We anticipate continuing to donate trauma kits while scaling up resources, coordinating with partners, while simultaneously refining a more comprehensive operational response.

Additionally, MSF provides essential healthcare in Venezuela, where hospitals across the country lack staff, supplies, and basic services. Our services include offering basic health care, as well as sexual and reproductive health consultations, covering pre- and postnatal care, family planning, and treatment for victims and survivors of sexual violence.

MSF remains committed to providing lifesaving care for all our patients in over 75 countries around the world. MSF USA takes no government funding and relies on unrestricted funds from private donors like you. This means that when an emergency strikes, we don't have to write grants or face red tape and restrictions before we respond—we can act fast and start saving lives immediately.
